Title: accent collection - made a candle with ...
Post by: Iulia on February 16, 2015, 10:15:52 PM
well I just ordered some samples of Helen's accent collection

and I wasn't in the mood to make soap tonight

and I planned to get going on candles again during the christmas holidays, but events derailed ...

so, I made a candle (yeah just one sorry not a big production line here)  :mwaha:

with vanilla and tobacco leaf.

dunno how it will burn but the house smells freakin' AWESOME!

Ooh interesting combination.  Would love to know how it burns (and thank you for sharing that  :buttrf:)

Tobacco leaf = heaven!

I haven't thought of combining it with vanilla, that would be lively... Thought it smelled nice with sandalwood or a hint of patchouli :)

I'm not a candle expert - but I used 8% FO, with a 6% tobacco, 2% vanilla mix.

It smells - in fact the whole house does  :mwaha: fab this morning.

The vanilla 'seems' to be dominating more than I expected - or would have liked - but that might be different when it burns.

I'm using a blended wax from Candle Shack which is very nice, but I'm wondering if I should switch to only soy. More because its easy to clean than any particular conviction about soy  :mwaha:
