Title: Re: My first market... eep! Post by: fireweed on December 01, 2014, 08:38:17 PM It was a good first experience, lots of people, decent sales- LOTS of mistakes made and lessons learned but the trailer transport turned out to be easier than I thought which is quite a relief :)
I didn't have enough time to prepare the price signs, kind of a last minute realisation... plus I need WAY more practise putting up and taking down. The table was much smaller than described in the T and A document so had to find workarounds my dress rehearsal. Title: Re: My first market... eep! That looks wonderful and thank you for sharing that with us. Your set up is just lovely and I absolutely love how you have wrapped your soaps. What a brilliant experience for you. Gives me something to consider for the future because I don't drive, so assumed fayres would be impossible for me to do but I do have a bike :)

I am so fast at packing up now as it's the worst bit for me. At the fayre I was at the other day I managed to pack up my whole stall including the gazebo in less than 10 mins, my friends were shocked when they came back and my stall had disappeared!

I did those same mistakes of price tags. Someone suggested even if you write on piece of paper, atleast people can see it . I still take time setting up and packing up. Daisyage - 10 mins, :o. Wow.
