Sorry to all that are experiencing fatal error messages.  Please bare with us.  The problem is actually with our host and kes is trying desperately to sort it out.  If you get the error message, it is best to leave it for a minute or two then try again - annoying as it is.  Kes and I can only apologise and we just wish we had more control over it.  Kes is also doing what he can to find a solution this end to help the host sort it out.  So very sorry  :(

I'm not that patience H & K - I just click again & it does as its told  :mwaha:  If my computer plays up I get OH to glare at it, everything seems to work for him!

I checked the error logs this morning.
There was a load of continued errors.

I have asked the hosts to move the site to one of their more stable servers.
They have been tinkering with this one since beginning of May.

I'm still waiting for a reply.
I'm utterly fed up with them.

It's a B for you - how concerned are the providers?

They are responding quickly but i think there's a big problem on their server.  In fact, I just came off the phone to them and have been in contact with them throughout the weekend.  So rest assured, kes, myself and the host are really working on this.

It's an annoying problem, esp for you H and Kes. I hope he has a wig for when he visits. It's so annoying esp when you pay for the service. It'll all come out in the wash.  (:hug:)

I know.  Kes has been talking to them since he got in from work.  He is now directing his correspondence to the management.  Sorry again  :(

Well, I went round and round with the hosts.

I have been getting nowhere.

The problem is a server misconfiguration due to the "tweaks" they have been doing recently.
I googled and found the likely causes all over the place.
Still, nothing got done.

Although, it looked like they almost did something last night.
But it changed again today.

Finally, I have applied a bit of brute force and ignorance to the scripts.
In the hope that it will circumvent the shortcomings of the server setup.

We'll have to see what happens.
I also asked them to migrate us to a "proper" server.

On the plus side...
During my "doing of the rounds", I did discover that man could actually walk on water.

Anyway, I notice we have a newcomer who has thrust hisself upon the sword.
Think I'll stay low for a bit while you lot work him over discuss things with him.

I'm still getting the session time out & fatal errors, it doesn't bother me but I know who you feel Kes as my own website is having the same problem lately, clients are pressing the button twice because they sometimes encounter an error so all my orders come up twice  :mwaha: yea, very funny, again, can't be bothered getting bothered, OH's company will sort it.... eventually

I wonder if that guy's name was Jesus? I thought that the folk that live on the Wirral were a bit holy when I went up there a few years back. I went for a walk with my dad and step mom only to see all these people walking on water........ so I thought. It appears that there was a walk way on top of a wall that kept the tidal water in so they could use it as a boating lake but when the tide was in you could see the wal only the people walking on the top. It looked dead weird.

I bet it looked weird.

After much pleading, I convinced them to move site to a new (functional) server.

I suppose alarm bells should have rang when they asked me to reboot my mouse pad in response to the first errors!!
