Hi guys, just thought I would put this on here as it sounds great, I have found this via youtube which has been posted by a soapmaker called Edens Secret1. She is part of this convention which takes place in 2015 over a few days. There is going to a lot of soapmaker's and beauty makers there offering workshops and advice. It looks like there is going to be something for everyone, whether just starting out or established. I have pre-registered, I will leave the link at the bottom here, so if you are interested take a look. I think its being held in Manchester but it is an international convention so it really does look worth while. Hey we could all meet up for coffee  :mwaha: :mwaha:

The organising team are pleased to announce that the inaugural EU Soap Makers Conference will take place 3rd to 5th October 2014 at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham airport. It will run from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon with a full programme of seminars and demonstrations that will not only be informative but will also be a lot of fun! It will be an opportunity not to be missed to learn, experience and to network with other Soap Makers.

Suppliers will be there so that you, as their valued customers can interact with them face to face, experience their products, ask them questions and probably most importantly, experience the scents of their fragrance oils!!

All of this will be brought to you for just £150 including a Gala dinner on the Saturday night. Room rates for the Holiday Inn will be confirmed nearer the time but we expect to be able to negotiate around £40 per night for a twin room including breakfast.

The organising team appreciate your patience and support as we know it's taken a while since announcing this exciting event to get this far but there is a lot to arrange behind the scenes!

There is still a great deal to do so we'd best get cracking....

Tickets will be on sale via a dedicated website from October 2013 and a payment schedule will be available.

Yes, and that is the one that I shall be attending - I'm moving to Devon next year, and Birmingham is more convenient to get to than Wigan, by train (have to consider that option since it will depend on whether I can drive or not). Also, I can only afford to do one, both in terms of time and money!

Seems the other one will not be happening ... certainly in it's advertised format. 

We're still working out details of the EU14 conference but we'll keep in touch via the FB page.
