Title: Crochet Book Query
Post by: EJ on May 27, 2013, 04:30:30 PM
Has anyone actually seen/held this book and flipped through the contents.

I'mm wondering what patterns are in it.

No sorry - it's £3 cheaper on Amazon and you can flip though some contents on there which might help - sorry I bet you did that! I don't know about you but I find pattern books disappointing for the price - specially crochet with endless potholders or fine shawls, few and far between are the clothes. Ravelry is good and often cheaper though for individuals patterns, and I find the Japanese crochet books much mor einspiring on here

I have bought from her before and they arrive faster than UK delivery often - everything charted so not too much trouble really, and there are websites with translation of terms if needed (rarely) or helpers on groups in Ravelry

They can be - but often i find I can use a motif/stitch group from an item for another purpose.

Also thanks H for asking on FB.

No problem EJ (it was worth mentioning... you never know)  :)

Sorry I couldn't help much EJ - a thought though - on Ravelry they have loads of different bits of forum and some go into books others have bought - maybe there? I agree about the motif thing though - whilst I have been bed bound I have found loads of blogs and patterns that I shamelessly save for "inspiration" and copying...! Trouble is, I can't have any more cushions or shawls  or throws or I won't be able to move. Wish I could think of something to make that is small and useful - geegaws as my husband calls them just clutter the house now!
