Title: Re: Buttons Post by: EJ on March 21, 2013, 09:58:00 PM Try Duttons for Buttons in York - I used to love browsing in there during my university lunchtimes http://www.duttonsforbuttons.co.uk (http://www.duttonsforbuttons.co.uk) Why don't I remember that shop I wonder - mind you I didn't go down Coppergate very often. Not the best of websites though I'm afraid. Title: Re: Buttons Post by: Nicola J on March 22, 2013, 01:56:19 PM http://www.loopknittingshop.com/ has some good looking posh ones that are different to ordinary, and of course www.ravelry.com has links to country wide haberdashery and wool shops that will have hab. Also seamstar.co.uk has funky modern/retro type. The best for unusual/cheap ones is etsy.com

Title: Re: Buttons Post by: Nicola J on March 22, 2013, 10:25:34 PM EJ, here's one in Pontypool, handcrafted wood buttons that might suit your work - just saw it on Etsy, shop called CottageCoppicing, owner Lisa Standley. http://www.etsy.com/shop/CottageCoppicing?ref=seller_info
Don't worry, I'll stop now! Title: Re: Buttons Post by: jojo68 on March 23, 2013, 01:14:00 PM Have you thought of Lampwork buttons? They are made from glass, this is one of my other hobbies ;D
Have a look at her website http://www.lushlampwork.com/14-shank-buttons (http://www.lushlampwork.com/14-shank-buttons) Jo Title: Re: Buttons Post by: Honey on March 23, 2013, 04:15:19 PM I can't recommend anyone but one of the girls in my ceramics class was making her own ceramic buttons for something she was making, I thought it was a great idea!
