Title: Selling soaps Post by: sapphire on November 06, 2012, 02:41:34 PM Hi, I've been making soaps for 2 1/2 years, people I've given them to are now asking to buy them. I'm researching safety assessments, labeling, trade scales etc. Phew! Any suggestions welcome :)

Title: Re: Selling soaps Post by: Eva on November 06, 2012, 05:02:19 PM Scott and his crew are the best!
HERE (http://www.cosmeticsafetyassessment.com/) is his place. And you can PM him here on Fresholi too. Title: Re: Selling soaps Post by: Lindy on November 06, 2012, 05:34:42 PM Hello and welcome. Lots of great information through the board and you've got the information to contact Scott to get info on obtaining your SA.
Title: Re: Selling soaps Post by: Iulia on November 06, 2012, 05:49:12 PM Agree Scott is the place to go for SA, and if you have a question about SA it is best to ask the professional (IMO). The SA will also come with advice on labelling and other paperwork.
A lot of the others here sell and can be helpful with things you don't understand. There are loads of threads about this stuff so have a good read, and you will find many questions answered. Oh and hi. ;D Title: Re: Selling soaps Post by: Eva on November 06, 2012, 08:39:12 PM Sorry, I forgot to say welcome. Welcome! :buttrf:

Another question, one of many! ;D I spoke to trading standards last year about selling my soap, one of the things was I have to use trade scales, (which I don't have ), they have to be tested and stamped with 'CE' and a green M sticker and a class 111 instrument oh also certificate of test! Does anyone have info on this or where to buy and how much Please? Warmest wishes, Rachel :) Title: Re: Selling soaps Post by: sapphire on November 07, 2012, 07:08:06 PM Thanks so much to all who replied and your good wishes:) Another question, one of many! ;D I spoke to trading standards last year about selling my soap, one of the things was I have to use trade scales, (which I don't have ), they have to be tested and stamped with 'CE' and a green M sticker and a class 111 instrument oh also certificate of test!
