I used avocado oil, partly because that is what I had, and partly because I want something really moisturising. My feet need a lot of attention before the summer arrive. It is really easy to make, although I had a bit of a mishap with the fragrance. I decide to use a couple of drops of rose EO, but had forgotten I had removed the little pourer cap, and I had to fish out a good spoonfull. I now smell a little like what my Mum would quaintly put - a tarts boudoir! Oh well, live and learn. I want to have a bit of a play because it sets a little harder than I would like. I did buy a handcream until recently made with shea butter, but it also had honey in which I guess would keep it a little bit softer.

Title: Re: Whipped shea butter Post by: Ɛyɔn :-) on May 28, 2008, 08:04:49 PM I have always used virgin shea butter and although my mum has always complained about the smell i honestly never smelt it myself, i only discovered whipped and refined recently but i stil stick to my virgin unrefined shea, it simpler for me to use although i whip and add EO when i give them away or attend fairs. I don't refrigerate my whip shea although a lot of people seem to and i keep my personal one close to the radiator in winter to avoid it going rancid.
