Title: What Colours? Post by: EJ on April 03, 2008, 03:52:21 PM I'm making small felt pots for my website and I have so many colours I could go on forever?
So far, either made or sorted and waiting (all are 2 or 3 toning colours blended in stripes) are: Peacock Bluebell Storm Raspberry Ripple Hot Pink Mulled Wine Hot Poppy Flame Orange'n'Lemon Lime'n'Lemon Dark Olive Light Olive Spring Green Forest Green Butterscotch Custard Cream Sunshine Harvest LilacTime Lavender Fields Heather Moors Violet Haze If you were looking is there anything you'd like to see in any of the groups please? The Natural range is simply Light, Medium and Dark. Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: Joy on April 03, 2008, 04:25:18 PM All those sound good EJ, would love to see the butterscotch one as well as the peacock and raspberry ripple.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: JGorse on April 03, 2008, 04:30:34 PM They sound lovely EJ.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: Joy on April 03, 2008, 04:33:16 PM Would love to see autumn shades EJ. Just reread post and noted I forgot to answer. I also love cerise pinks and lime greens.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: EJ on April 03, 2008, 04:38:56 PM Yes - completely forgot about Autumn - that would fit in the red/orange group or the yellowish.
Cerise could be my "Hot Pink" (it's in the pipeline). Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: JGorse on April 03, 2008, 04:50:18 PM Turquoise blends well with bright pink & green too. I felted some wool that was those shades, and it looks nice.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: Helen on April 03, 2008, 10:02:57 PM I like the sound of the groups with peacock, the raspberry ripple one & the hot poppy. What about some psychedelic colours EJ. Orange and pinks together with a tad of green or blue. That would look great!!
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: EJ on April 03, 2008, 10:27:28 PM Well the thing about the Urchin Pots is that they're all toning blends (Raspberry Ripple doesn't have any vanilla).
The dishes in dyed wools do have contrasts - but I only have a couple ATM and haven't thought out the colour ranges. Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: Helen on April 03, 2008, 10:30:21 PM I think seeing them or maybe just the wools laid out in a picture would be good
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: EJ on April 03, 2008, 10:36:27 PM Give me a day or two and you can have pics - the O'n'L and L'n'L are hiding somewhere ATM - they weren't in the box with the others.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: EJ on April 10, 2008, 03:34:03 PM I've put some up online (http://www.briallen.co.uk/Shop/Felt/dyed_felt.html) now.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: Helen on April 10, 2008, 04:11:30 PM They look great EJ, I particularly like the bright ones (raspberry, 'in the pink' and the tangerine one) :)
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: EJ on April 10, 2008, 04:15:20 PM Thanks Helen.
I do have some more to make and take pics - but need a change for a day or two. Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: JGorse on April 10, 2008, 07:56:25 PM They're lovely EJ.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: EJ on April 10, 2008, 08:07:03 PM Ta JJ - when I get some kraftbrown boxes from the Tiny Box peeps I'll offer gift packaging with OakMoss as an option.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: JGorse on April 10, 2008, 08:10:27 PM Sounds good EJ.
Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: corrie on April 10, 2008, 09:11:18 PM EJ, not ignoring this thread. But you know I already love your felted items ;D And anything in green is good for me.
I got samples of the Tiny boxes today, I'm very impressed. Gonna get some printed up with my logo. Your "urchins" will look great in them :) Title: Re: What Colours? Post by: Helen on April 10, 2008, 09:12:35 PM Did you use the code Corrie to get your 10% discount?

One of the things I love about being a member of this forum, is the inspiration I get from looking at other peoples websites, and what you are all doing. It makes me want to try everything. You are all very clever people. |
