Title: Venturing in from Worcestershire... Post by: Aster@RASC on May 14, 2012, 04:30:45 PM Hi everyone!
I have stumbled across this forum on the GCSTM website and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Aster and I run The Real Ale Soap Company alongside being a mum of one, in worcestershire. My husband is a brewer so this definitely helps with obtaining supplies! I am looking forward to chatting to other soap makers and sharing ideas and tips. Aster ;D Title: Re: Venturing in from Worcestershire... Post by: EJ on May 14, 2012, 04:56:25 PM Hello Aster, welcome to the forum.

How funny that there has been a flurry of beer soaps! I adore the way the beer enhances the soap, must pop off to find some of those other ones. Here are a few pics of my favourites for you: Triple hop (this uses ground hops, pure hop oil and a super hoppy beer, Hop Bomb (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7098/7197650724_47b3be001d_m.jpg) The rainbow of colours that different beers produce: (http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5315/7197653106_46d7fffc47_m.jpg) (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7100/7197652290_7f4b2f2508_m.jpg) Look forward to getting to know you all. ;D Title: Re: Venturing in from Worcestershire... Post by: Vanilla on May 15, 2012, 11:25:52 AM Welcome to the forum - your soaps look lovely! :buttrf:
Since we're talking about middle names, mine is Emily - my mum was originally going to give it to me as a first name, but apparantly instead of the delicate little girl she was expecting, I was an enormous fat baby, and didn't suit such a dainty name. So my mum tells me. Thanks mum. ::) Title: Re: Venturing in from Worcestershire... Post by: Aster@RASC on May 15, 2012, 02:51:28 PM :mwaha: Sorry... ;D
Eva was 9lbs 6ozs so will tell her the same thing!! Title: Re: Venturing in from Worcestershire... Post by: Helen on May 15, 2012, 05:02:40 PM :mwaha:
I was a 10lb fattie when I was born (poor mum :egad:) I have two middle names and so does my son (none of them are short neither - poor kid, it'll take him as long as it does me to fill out forms when he's older ::)). My daughter only has one though, so we gave her another extra honorary one so she doesn't feel left out (the only reason we didn't give her the extra one when we registered her birth is because it's a real 'gobfull' trying to say them - we kept it nice and easy :mwaha:). What are they then? I don't have a middle name :( as my name is made up of many as my Mum says, Joan, Jo, Joann, Anna, it was either Michelle (Beatles song) or Joanna (Scott Walker) seeing as my Mum hated The Beatles it was Joanna! Title: Re: Venturing in from Worcestershire... Post by: Helen on May 15, 2012, 06:02:19 PM Te he... :mwaha:

Post by: Lynnie on May 16, 2012, 08:42:40 PM Hi Aster! Welcome to our happy place! We're talking middle names? My first and middle are Lynette Marie. My mom only called me Lynette Marie when I was in trouble, so it sends chills up my spine. She calls me Lynnie, now.
Your soaps look so nice! Good to have your business and the husband's compliment each other. Haha! |
