Title: Room/linen sprays Post by: emmag on August 20, 2007, 07:43:56 AM I'm trying to get a good linen spray recipe to use with essential oils or fragrance oils... I bought some denat alcohol as it was listed from the supplier as being suitable but then i failed to find a recipe that uses the darn alcohol so i'm stuck with a bottle, lots of fragrances and no recipe... can anyone help?

I've got a few tucked away, I'll have a dig around later on! If I haven't just give me a nudge to remind me lol :D Title: Re: Room/linen sprays Post by: the.fee.fairy on August 20, 2007, 01:09:21 PM You can use it on the top/bottom of M&P soap. When you pour the soap into the mould, spray some on the bottom, and it takes out the bubbles.
You can also use it for layering M&P soap too - spray a layer of alcohol on the layer of soap - it helps the next layer to stick. Title: Re: Room/linen sprays Post by: Helen on August 20, 2007, 01:37:27 PM 1001 uses for denatured alcohol!!!!!!!!!! lol
Title: Re: Room/linen sprays Post by: Pinky on August 20, 2007, 02:45:36 PM Hey Emma
I usually put 50ml of distilled water, 50ml of alcohol and approx 20 drops of EO in a spray bottle and hey presto I have myself a room/linen spray. I also have found a recipe that says use 20oz distilled water, 1 1/2 oz alcohol and 1/4 oz EO, never tried it but you could give it a whirl! HTH Title: Re: Room/linen sprays Post by: emmag on August 20, 2007, 03:07:57 PM Brilliant - that will do me ;D

Title: Re: Room/linen sprays Post by: emmag on August 29, 2007, 07:33:22 AM I know what a solubuliser does but what could you use? Could you use distilled water as purified water?
Title: Re: Room/linen sprays Post by: Zoe Penny on August 29, 2007, 01:28:35 PM Hi Emma
I thought distilled and purified water were the same?!!! not sure...when I make products for clients I use bottled water and my own, just from the tap...solubiser is sold as it is named..I personally don't use it...just shake up the bottle or add a tiny bit of water dispersable grapeseed oil, that helps the EOs to disperse By the way...a warning...he he...don't make Green Tea Room/Linen Sprays with a green tea bag! I found a recipe and thought oooohhh that sounds good...well of course, it turns the water the most yakky brown colour and well, stinks to be honest.......one straight down the drain....Green Tea FO would prob be Ok tho ;) xxxxx Title: Re: Room/linen sprays Post by: penny71 on November 15, 2007, 10:35:30 AM Interesting article for marketing natural room sprays!
