Title: Newbie Here Post by: Theresa on August 17, 2007, 06:41:12 PM Hi, Everyone. What a great site this is. I once bought a book on soapmaking but it was so vague I never tried it. I have used those soapmaking kits they have in the craft stores with my daughter. She loves making soap and I can't wait to tell her about this site.
I have also made bath salts as gifts at xmas. I'm looking forward to exploring this site and learning more. Xmas is coming! ;) Title: Re: Newbie Here Post by: the.fee.fairy on August 17, 2007, 07:39:35 PM Hi newbie *waves*
Title: Re: Newbie Here Post by: the.fee.fairy on August 17, 2007, 07:40:32 PM Oooh, i can really recommend Melinda Coss's Handmade Soap. it is a great book, i made my first two batches of 'proper' soap a month or so ago from it. The instructions are really easy to follow.

I still have a lot of exploring to do on this website, but I will take a look for that article. Helen, I read your article (I think it's called On the Backs of Giants or something like that) and really thought it good advice. Just because were small doesn't mean we can't be successful.
