Title: Hi I'm new Post by: Suzette on January 07, 2008, 06:16:04 PM Hello everyone
I saw this link on another forum and have been lurking all day reading nearly every page. I make mainly body butters after the high street creams were making my skin very dry. I have experimented with a few variations of body butter but would love to learn to make creams but I'm a bit confused over the beeswax, olive wax, emulsifer mix. I tried and failed with making them as the water seems to come through after a couple of days. Suzette Title: Re: Hi I'm new Post by: penny71 on January 07, 2008, 06:23:04 PM :hi: hello Suzette

Can't help re creams I'm afraid, but there are people here who can. Take a good look around the resources and previous posts and you may find the answer you're after. Title: Re: Hi I'm new Post by: Suzette on January 07, 2008, 06:30:45 PM Hello

Title: Re: Hi I'm new Post by: Helen on January 07, 2008, 07:46:49 PM Hello Suzette,
A very warm welcome from me. It sounds like you've made a good start with the body butters - I think they are a great place to start as it helps develop your experience of working with different materials and helps you to learn first hand how they behave. Creams are tricky (in my opinion) but by keeping lots of notes and a bit of trial and error you WILL suddenly click with it. There are a number of threads on troubled creams but anything specific is worth a post on the formulators Gen discussion ;) I'm sure you will be inspired to do more than you expected (I lost my soap virginity a few weeks ago - never ever planned to make soap and now, can't seem stop!) and have a few giggles along the way ;D Anyway, a big warm welcome again!!!
