There will be a craft show in my local library in just over a week. I have my HP assessment for my soaps but no insurance yet. Is it ok then just to hand out free samples with my business card until the next show comes around in approx a month's time in which time I would have then sorted out insurance. Any thoughts appreciated.

Hmm, it's a calculated risk. The reality is that you'd probably be absolutely fine, but if something were to happen your business would be over before it had begun. I personally would not risk it. Why don't you just get the insurance sorted now and then you can sleep easy.

You can phone or email some insurers and be insured that very day. Mines is Ian Wallace

I am with Ian Wallace too. It takes a very short time to get it set up and you can pay monthly. I would not take the risk either....just in case.
