Oh thats really awful and annoying!

Regarding the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 - business to business transactions are not covered by this.

Aw Polly....  big hug

I am so sorry.  The organiser must be incredibly upset too.  Maybe this door has had to close for another to open?   :buttrf:

Thanks everyone. And thanks to those who PM'd. It means a lot  :buttrf:

No soapy stuff tonight as I'm still really tired from worry (and the gluteny goodies I ate at the wekend haven't helped)

Helen, you are probably right and with one door closing, another will open though it will be up to me to make that happen. I'm going to try to borrow my SILs good camera to take pictures for the website, and I'm going to try a Folksy shop - it certainly can't do any harm.

And now that the pressure is off to make lots of soaps, I can get round to practising bath fizzies and lip balms and the like. See, starting to feel a bit better and a bit calmer now.  Smiley

Thanks guys  :buttrf:

Hi Polly
Glad your sounding much more positive :buttrf: folksy shop is a good start and just think you will have plenty of time to make exactly what you want without the added pressure ...keep your head up   Group hug

Good - a less pressurized strt to selling at markets/fairs is probably a better thing.

Sorry to hear about this Polly, what bad luck & how frustrating.  I admire that you've managed to find the positive in the situation, I'm sure I would have just gone away & cried!

I did, and lots of it  :mwaha: But, as frustating and upsetting as it is, there are worse things happening in the world and one way or another I will still be able to sell the soaps I've made. It just might take a little longer than planned  :buttrf:

The best thing about soap is, that the older it gets the better it is  :buttrf:

If you are not living of the income from your soaping business, there is no rush to sell them. They will go eventually. And as you said, it gives you time to play with other things and expand your offering.

[big hug] - hope you are ok...
