Hi, All !

I'm a wanna be soap maker. I'm hoping that some of you can shed some light on the subject for me. Specially as a business project.

I appreciate any advice that will make my learning smoother and reduce my trial and errors.

Thanks,
Sharf.

Hi sharf,

Welcome to the forum.  I good place to start is to work your way through the boards and see what has been discussed (it might take a bit of time but worth it).  Also, register to the main site too as there are some great resources that members have submitted that will be most useful.

Welcome again and I hope you find it of use  Smiley

Hello Sharf, welcome.

There's quite a lot of info on the boards which you can see (and more after you've made a few posts to the forum).

To make and sell soap you need to have a safety assessment from a cosmetic chemist.

Which type of soap are you thinking of trying?

(just seen that Helen has beaten me to replying)

Hi Sharf, welcome to our merry band Cheesy
Have you made any soap yet? There's a lot of soapers of all kinds on here so you'll be spoilt for choice! Building a soap business is not for the faint hearted though, there's a lot of regulations you need to comply to and you need to work and work at getting your recipes right.
That said, it's great fun, and very rewarding too.
