HP Soap is NOT rough and soft!

« on: November 02, 2008, 01:45:23 AM »

I have about 2.5 - 3 metres of wide furnishing velvet - darker than royal but lighter than midnight blue which Child has dumped on me. She had used it as a settee throw when she was in the flat but no longer wants it.

It's been cleaned (possibly washed - I'll have to check). Unlikely not enough to make a loose cover for a standard armchair but would certainly make a goodly number of cushion covers or something.

Quite bulky and I haven't weighed it but if anyone wants it they can have it for postage costs.

I'll open it up and measure properly if someone is interested in it.

I'm interested EJ.
I have an old nursing chair that I recovered but was never happy with the fabric I chose. Sounds like it would be enough to do that. Did I ever tell you furniture restoration and upholstery are some of my other hobbies?
Could you give me the dimensions please  Smiley

I don't think you have told us!

It's 134cm wide, excluding selvedges, and there's actually 4 metres, I haven't weighed it but it's pretty hefty.

Shall I put a snippet in the post?

Ah well, there's more than soap to this gal!
Could you take a pic of the colour, I'll get the general idea. There's definately enough of it.
Cheers EJ
