HP Soap is NOT rough and soft!

« on: October 28, 2013, 06:47:06 PM »

I want to knit some ankle warmers and can't find my double pointed needles.

Additionally I'm not sure how my left hand will mange if I buy more double pointed needles.

A sock loom is an option - but I would think that the gauge/tension is fixed - so how would I use one to get finer rib at the top and bottom - or to increase/decrease number of stitches if required?

Anyone used such a device?

TIA

Double pointed needles previously (but I had a stroke last year).

Don't really fancy trying the "two at a time".

No - 'cos I don't want to become involved in another forum.

What about doing circular needles using the magic loop method?  You cast on as if you would using a single needle then at your half way mark pull the loop through so it is split.  If you pull up some videos on You Tube like this one http://youtu.be/6KccLlkTKzE.  It will let you keep your tension where you want it and make changes to it as necessary
