Wow thanks everyone for such a warm welcome!!! Smiley
I plan on really putting my time into Lip Balms, and things like solid lotions, massage bars and solid perfumes.I have made balms and solid lotions alot in the past with my Step-Mum when I was over in the states, so it wont be such a harsh learning curve.

I have the most interest in those things and I suspect my family and friends up here would make alot of use out of them in this very harsh climate.

I spent hours again last night reading here and this is such a fantastic site. Going to get more reading done today on here, seeing as we are totally snowed in and stuck on our wee island. Roll Eyes

Hello and welcome. Where in Shetland are you. All my ancestors are from Unst Fetlar and Yell. I live in Aberdeenshire.

I am on the isle of Burra. It is my home sweet home I have fallen madly in love with Shetland and couldn't be anywhere else in the world.

Hi and welcome!  :buttrf:
How did you end up in Shetland? Sounds fantastic!

My partner is originally from here so when he said "Want to move to Shetland? I want to go home" I said "How soon till we go???"  Grin

It is a special place, isolated but very special and with a wonderful tight-knit small community that has taken me as one of the locals. I love it here.

My parents were both performers, I grew up on the road with them. So yes 48 states and lots of Mexico, Canada, Ireland and many more places. Grin

For me it was normal but yes I had a great time. Being settled now though is the best thing ever.I love my home and I am so truly happy to be grounded and have roots firmly planted.
