Hi all,

I thought I'd get my post count rolling with a little introduction.

I'm originally from Canada, but have been in the UK for 20 years so London is home now.

I've been dabbling in making creams for myself for about a year, mainly to treat the psoriasis that I suffer from.  I have found really good results using oat-derived active ingredients and herbs and am now trying to develop a range of products for sale.

It seems that unlike a lot of forum members, I started out making creams so I'm used to the process involved for water-containing products.  But soap-making seems pretty daunting and it's not something I've tried yet.  I do have a bunch of m&p soap base sitting in the cupboard, though, which I must soon decide what to do with!

I've been very interested in the stories of other members' experiences of getting started in selling and have learned loads already.  I'm so pleased to have found such a helpful and supportive group!  I hope it won't be long until I'm contributing, too, instead of just soaking up everyone else's wisdom!

Hi Gerta,

Welcome to the forum  Smiley butterflies

What a lovely intro!!  Like you, my 'thing' is creams and lotions - only dabbled in soapies out of curiosity and being inspired by the broad range of skills and talents of other members (I find soaps tricksy but love hearing about other's experiences).

It really is lovely to have you here and keep posting Gerta, the more you post, the more boards will open up to you  Wink

See you around the boards!!!   butterflies butterflies

You will surely like it here. It's filled with lovely, funny and helpful people.
I don't make soap either but do skin/hair products for myself and family.
