Hi everyone

I'm pauline.  I've just been having a good ol browse & realised I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm new to all this forum stuff...sorry!

I live near Herne Bay in Kent.  I have always had an interest in crafts, mum & dad used to buy me craft sets for christmas, many moons ago, things like candle making, corn dollies, creative things you know?
I am a self taught knitter & crocheter & I love gardening.  I first got into lotion & cream making about 20 years ago with a nurse friend but good  ingredients were hard to come by so it took a back seat for a while.  I then got back into creams/lotions a couple of years ago when I had dermatitis & nothing would touch it, this then got me on to soap making soon afterwards.  I have just got my SA & make soaps mainly for friends/family at the moment.  No big plans as present.  Biggest passion(s) is golf & the lovely birds that visit my garden....& hubby too of course.

Welcome Pauline! We love pics too so you have to post some as and when you have something made... we don't care if it's as ugly as an ugly thing on National Ugly Day or the most beautiful thing in the world that it makes you want to cry!!!

No plans at the mo to get big into lotions, I'm finding soaping absolutely fascinating, so much stuff out there I didn't know & I've picked up loads of stuff on the boards....You lot are amazing.

Hiya Pauline Smiley

Welcome to Fresholi!

We're a friendly lot here, so if there's anything you want to know, share or even just vent then please feel free to do so.

I love the birds too but I'm having problems getting them to come into my garden... I have a cat so that may be part of the problem but I have friends with cats who have lovely birds in the garden! Any top tips?

Hi Kevin & Samantha

pics will follow, be warned.
Kevin, I've got a small garden but 7 feeders with sunflower hearts, peanuts, fat balls & squashed insect cakes... meal worms if they're good & baths of course (3 of those) & a bird table placed in different situations, then just be patient, they will come. They like a bit of bread as well.  I'm going to stop there or I'll go on all nite.
