Hi everyone

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

I'm new to this site but have been making cold process soap for quite a few years now.  It all started when we visited Canada and walked into a soap shop over there - what can I say?  I was just bowled over by the smells and wonderful goodies that were on sale.  Of course that year everyone I knew received some soap!  After we ran out, the next step of course was to make some myself...and that as you all know so well, was the point when I got well and truely hooked!

I look forward to chatting to fellow soapers, and hope to help any newbies along the way if I can.

Hi Sal,

A warm welcome from me....  Do you know, I think soaping, lotioning and potioning should come with a government warning 'This is highly addictive'!  Muttley

You sound like you have a good deal of experience.  Im a lotiony, potiony person but I took a leap into making soap a few weeks (could be months now - oh how time flies) ago.  I've tried CP & M&P (funnily enough, I find M&P possibly the trickiest but our Elaine is always on standby to help me out  Wink)  I was inspired by the wonderful members but regardless of discipline and experience, we merge our skills and knowledge really well.

Anyway, a big welcome and look forward to chatting with you and do give me a yell if you have any suggestions regarding Fresholi  Smiley

thanks Helen

I must admit to lurking as a guest for a few weeks, and have been struck by what a friendly bunch of people use this board.  I think Freshoil is looking great so far (realise it's quite new) so I hope you keep doing more of the same!

I must admit to being a CP freak myself, and have never ventured into MP.  There is nothing quite like the satifaction of pouring a perfect batch of soap, and I still get a pathetic buzz from watching those first bubbles when you wash out the soap making pan.  My hubby laughs when I go into raptures about a bar after its been freshly cut, but once you're hooked I think it's for life with soaping!

looking forward to a good chat on my favourite subject....

Bless you.....   Those comments are just so appreciated (lol.... regarding the site that is).  It is a collaborative effort though as you can see from Fresholi Community...  lots of submissions from all the members and they have certainly been a huge part of the way Fresholi has been moulded and shaped.

I know what you mean about the bubbles....  My first ever soap had me almost in tears because I had, all by myself, created those bubbles.  Have you seen the galleries of other finished products?  It might be worth considering having one yourself  Wink
