I tested pouring wax melt in to these small paper moulds used for candy stuff here in Sweden. They have a special name here: knäckformar

It worked very well and I think one could leave the paper on since they are very easy to pop out of it. There are loads of other colours, patterns and sizes on this kind of moulds.

Anyone else tried these?

They look a little like cupcake paper cases, they look so cute and summery.  If they're not waxed, would they get grease spots on them? Not sure as I don't make melts.

No spots since they are especially made for greasy candy like caramel and choco stuff.
These are quite small only about 2.5 cm (1 inch) diameter.

I love the gingham look about them, always reminds me of summer.  And I should have realised they were greaseproof if they're used for sweets.  I got some gold and silver ones before for bath melts, they are now.

I have used paper cupcake cases for bath melts.  I as well thought the oils would leak through the case, but they don't.  I put shea, coco and sweet almond in mine and they were fine.

Also like you Eva I have tried wax melts in them and it works too.

I use them as moulds for my bakery candles. I take the paper off before i add the toppings. I'll have to post some pics

The equivalent in the UK would be glassine - the paper cases may show greasy marks, depending on formula.

I found these that look a bit more like designer moulds. They are so cute, about twice as big as in my first pic.

It's a Swedish page so use google translate: On this page paste this link

Translation is so so. "Bull form" is mould for bun, for example cinnamon bun.
The "Buckling moulds" and "Knäckform" are the small ones.

They are 45,- sek (£4) for 50 which is expensive. The small ones in my first post cost about £0,90 for 240 .
