MP, I added the VAT on. Mica doesnt have any import tax but you still have to pay 17.5% VAT. Obviously these are all provisional until i have the Mica in my hands and know exact cost.

if there is no import tax (thankfully some things are exempt), no need to worry about VAT. Import tax is essentially VAT

The dollar rate really is helping us, let's hope it falls a bit more...

Thanks so much for this Kev, I hope you don't look like a rainbow-smurf after you repackaged them  butterflies

Kev, when you receive these, please don't rush trying to get them out. The stuff can fly everywhere, and irritation is common with exposure, so take your time.

Bloomin 'eck!

I've just had notification that the parcel was sent yesterday and estimated delivery is... Monday 1st March!!!!

How exciting Cheesy Cheesy

(also means it will pass through customs at the weekend which means less chance it will be caught for VAT even)

Sorry ladies, I've been bad and very slow on this one Sad

The micas are here but the grip seal bags took aged to arrive and I've got a two-day craft fair tomorrow and Saturday I needed to get ready for. I'm hoping to decant them into their little bags early next week. I hope that's ok.

Well it's taken me 4 hours to split these so far and I'm still not finished. Need at least another 2 hours so hopefully they will be finished this weekend.

I now have a rainbow coloured dining table, my apron is ruined and I'll be clearing up rainbow-coloured dust for weeks.

To top it all, the residue it leaves in the big bags etc. had meant I've only been able to split 15oz out of the 1lb bags, leaving me without any mica for myself! Great!

Kev, I'll share my mica. I also think the #price should be didived by 15 so we all absorb the cost equally. They are bloody messt stuff to deal with. Your on your own with the apron though. Muttley

Oh that's not fair Kevin - you did all the work on this, not fair you're left with nowt.. esp as you've forked out the money too.  Gotta be a way we can work this out fairly to all.  I don't agree with one person taking the hit at all, no fair.
