Ooh, I have to reply to this! Welcome from another Essex girl. I lived in Maldon and went to school in Colchester. Left the area centuries ago though.

I lived in Colchester for a couple of years in the mid 90s. Daily commute into London from there is not to be recommended!

We went back there last year and the traffic around there was a nightmare! I actually left there in 1986 so I think they built the bypass after that - doesn't seem to have made things any better!

I lived in Ipswich, Otley and East Bergholt for years and years! Now live in Spain.
