I can't stand the shape of hearts called "primitive" - to me they're ugly and ungainly and definitely unromantic.

However they're popular on cards, as hangers etc. and Valentine's Day looms so who prefers what?

I don't prefer the primitive shape I like a 'chubby chunky round' heart, feels warm and welcoming! x

I don't like most of the things called "primitive".  You can get moulds for primitive heart soaps and they just look a mess to me.. not a fan.  From what I've seen on the net, it's more of an American thing.

I actually quit like these hearts. I've not seen the soap moulds and i can't imagine they would look all that nice. But I do like the wooden ones. I also bought mini pegs from John Lewis that had bright red cuddly hearts on them. I guess I just like love hearts.

The primitive ones I've seen are more knobbly on the top, like a kid made a heart and you don't want to criticise it but it's really rubbish  Muttley

Couldn't find a more suitable pic to show - that's one of the better primitive ones, there are others more crudely shaped; they look as though "primitive" is an excuse for "can't draw/cut very well".

No need to apologise Joy - I was wondering whether there was a marked preference.

There are lots of stamps and diecuts using tthe primitive shape (and the curvy ones) but very few cookie or sugarpaste cutters - they're mostly the curvy style

Hmmm think I've gotten mixed up between the primitive and the grubby style for soap moulds... don't like the grubby ones (don't even like the name).
