 I thought I give the making of melts a try tonight.  Egad!!

What is the ultimate temp to add the EOs? I'm using EOs at this time since I'm testing "treatment" scents and don't have FOs for that. I read on the net that 82C (180F) is the utlimate but I'm not sure if it's accurate.
Anyone have any facts/thoughts about this?

Bought some of Michelle's soy wax. She had thrown in a bunch of surprise goodies in the package as well. Isn't she a darling. I nominate her for the "best surprice" award.   butterflies

When adding EO's I do it at bout 75c as I dont want them evaporating off.

Be warned though EOs can be volatile in wax so dont go for the 6-10% of Fo's. Try about 3-4% Lavender can bea real pain.

Yesss! Made my first melts! Wow it feels good! Have wanted to do this for soooo long.  Happy Bounce

Small and simple test with soy wax and Eos, no colour (forgot to order that) to fill one 6 pack melt mould.
I used an empty, well cleaned tuna fish can in a pot with water to melt it.

So how do you make yourself wait 24 hrs before using them?  tumbleweed

Leave em on the side hardening you'll still get fragrance from them. If you can resist lol.

Theres nothing to stop you demoulding from the snap apart in about an hr. It should come out easily but if it doesnt just stick oit in the fridge for 5 mins then bang it on the surface. You can then just wash it out with hot soap water ready for next time. One or two cubes should be enough for your oil burners dish.

If they are for your own use you could try using food colouring if you have any in the house, just one tidgy drop.

Ok, couldn't resist trying one out in my oil burner.
It works and it's lovely!  Happy Bounce

The EOs are Frankincense, Geranium and Lavender.
I am so pleased with it.

They are snap aparts Eva not really intended as a mould per se. People often pour into them and sell as they are as the lid seals it shut. But as you have found you can use them as moulds just wont last as long as a standard mould. If you fill above the level of ythe sections ie to the brim you will find they come out easier

Youir eo blend sounds yummy very relaxing and soothing
