Hello, I followed a link from another forum a few days ago, have been quietly lurking and reading and I think I'm going to like it here Smiley

I got hooked on soaps a few years ago and have a stash that I'm trying to work my way through but it doesn't seem to be getting any smaller as I seem to buy as many as I use!  Roll Eyes

I jumped straight in at the deep end about a year ago and had a go at cold process soap - no disasters so far and I found it very therapeutic! Needless to say, within a couple of months I was drowning in the stuff and ended up giving most of it away to friends
 Muttley

I also enjoy making my own bath bombs and scrubs - I like to know what's going into the things I use and I get to save money in the process!

I look forward to making new friends and learning lots.

Hello and welcome.

Whatever you buy - it's much more satisfying to make your own (I'm currently investigating creams) and you'll find lots of info and helpful people here.

Thank you both for the welcome. Definitely addicted! At one point I counted up and had about 80 bars of soap!  Shocked

I must admit I feel quite smug everytime I use something I made myself!

Heya

wellcome to the forum. I can understand the addiction. I have found out that since making soap, not only are we all squeaky clean, we also will never have to buy room freshener again, the curing soaps do have a double-funtion.

I am still working on the cat though - he is not very co-operative when it comes to testing new soap and has been known to leave the house for a day while it is gelling.  Muttley
