Marvellous Marbles - a big spirit in a little body

WWW
« on: October 19, 2007, 06:11:11 PM »

I discovered this website on my travels around the internet and it seems like a nice place to hang out Smiley

I've managed to indulge my twin passions of aromatherapy and guinea pigs by creating the world's first and only range of aromatherapy products designed especially for guinea pigs......yes really!

Guinea pigs are originally from Peru where the climate is warm and dry.  Here in the UK they can have major skin problems because of the humidity and lack of appropriate bedding / care.  This can be anything from scurfy skin / dandruff, scabby mouths, through to Mites, Lice and Ringworm, so plenty of challenges on the skincare front to prove how effective aromatic products can be.

I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Hello Chrissie,

Interesting to see something different - had a quick scoot round your website.

This is a lovely friendly place - but I'm wondering whether you're going to ask Helen to change the name of the requests for volunteer testers board!

Thank you both for the welcome  Smiley

Maybe you just need to amend "guinea pigs" to read "human guinea pigs" LOL!  I won't take offence......

We all need product testers to give us feedback Cheesy  When my goodies have passed the human testing, I work with 5 or 6 guinea pig rescues around the UK and in the Netherlads.  They always have guineas with an assortment of skin problems needing nhelp.  The rescues receive free products in return for feedback and "before and after" photos so everybody wins.

Hi Zoe,

Thanks for the welcome.

Don't get me started about those poor h@irless guineas Angry  I have never seen one that looks happy.  They need specialist care, don't have brilliant immune systems and are prone to skin problems.  I really hope that pet shops don't start selling them to the public as the next "must have" item.  Sadly if this happens, many will end up in rescues when people discover how much care and attention they need.

I'll get off my soapbox now and go and hug my own lovely fully haired guineas  Smiley

I used to keep guinea pigs. The most I ever had were seven. Abyssinians are my favourite, and I sometimes really miss them now they are gone. I don't miss cleaning them out, though!

Perhaps one day when I am living in a larger house, I will get some more. Also, guinea pigs and carpets in rented accommodation do not mix well, I have found.

Anyway, welcome to the board. Please will you put some photos up?
