Its about $600 (Cdn) to have a web-designer put up a site here.  IMO the best place to start, is first with family and friends, then hit the craft shows.

I have search the UK web-sites and am blown away by the products.  I think your market is more saturated than ours.  I have yet to see any handmade products where I live.

I was just thinking after my post.  Have you looked into Etsy or Artfire.  That may be more economical.
