what we are all thinking but too polite to say

« on: May 28, 2008, 07:54:45 PM »

Hello all, i thought i would introduce myself rather than slip into the background as i usually do in forums. I have loved the website a great deal and from the little i have read so far in the forum i am hooked.
I run an organic, herbal and natural skincare, beauty and hair products website based in London. I'm learning at the moment so i don't have tales of to tell about shed loads of soap. i love body butters, i grew up using only shea butter, i never know you could whip shea up, refine it and even mix it with the variety of things that people come up with these days. so that is vice.
i have to say that for those of you guys who make stuff commercially, i am happy to stock them  so please get in touch.

Hiya  Hi!

Welcome, and I hope you love it here as much as I do.
There's a lot to learn on here as well as having a giggle.

What would you like us to call you?  Your username will get shortened to your initials, so you could well be CB before long, unless you'd like us to call you something else  Cheesy

Hello and a warm welcome to the forum  Hi!

I've seen your website and it is great  Grin  It is indeed amazing what creative things can be done with all these lovely ingredients and even better, the fun you can have in creating them  Pot  I'm sure though that if you hang around here long enough, you will be lured into making soapies - but that can be a rather addictive past time  Muttley  We are all at different levels with different specialisms so we all have something to throw into the pot as I am sure you will  Wink

Anyway, lovely to have you here and do have a mosie through some of the threads, there's been many interesting discussions and plenty of fun too  Grin

Hi CB
Welcome  Hi!
Have you got a link to your website, love to see it.
I love shea butter, only using it in soap at the mo but will eventually try other goodies with it.
Best wishes
K

I was struggling if to use my site or my real name although my site is fine by me,  i have the rather unusual name  chica as my real name which im happy to be referred to by also.
I got drawn into reading the the topics on here, i haven't had the chance to read the T&C and i didn't want to get thrown out right after entering by giving my url. I guess it's okay to plug Huh?  It's  a humble little site, it's just been migrated so i'm still working on it but it as it still has a few faults here and there.

Hello! Welcome! i'm new too, and it's a great place here!

Your website looks fab, I've just been looking at your dieting and detox section - after my mum told me the other day I looked as though I'd put on weight and I stepped on the scales and realised she was right, I'm so concious of it at the moment but at the same time don't know how I can give up my wine and chocolate!

Anyway, those foot detox pads look very interesting.. have you tried them yourself?

Purplesparkle  thanks very much  for your compliments, to be honest i don't weigh myself anymore, i only know  i have put on or shed weight from my cloths these days. i haven't used the foot detox myself but a friend has, i usually try things myself or get a friend or family member to, She liked it very much seeing the extractions. but she hasn't followed through the recommendations either as she has kids and a busy schedule but we both use another product in the same category, the action herbitter it's very good however, i tell you it is not the most easiest thing to drink on this earth. it taste and smells horrible, and you need balls of steel to gulp it down. it takes about 4 months to finish a bottle but after going through 2 bottles and on my 3rd, i still haven't developed a taste for it.

I always have to give people extra support when they buy it but we all accept that it's very good.
