No well there wouldn't be low flying pigs around your parts, too afraid they'll bump into each other since one's lauched every other minute round your parts

A really big welcome to you - I think I  am sane compared to many of these "mad" guys but its fantastic fun!!!!

Hi I have only just started to use this site & get to know the strange (sorry nice people on it) but have already had a lot of help from them all. I am sure you will to.
I also have 13 hens and have just had my first fox encounter with them.
The making of soaps is so addictive as everyone here will verify. Just order up the basic ingredients to start with until you are more confident as it can be quite a costly hobby and don't forget to ask ask ask if you need help with any thing.

Kim, I feed the fox that comes in our garden, I figure it keeps him/her out of the bins, but also I love seeing him/her most nights.  No chickens around here, that must be heartbreaking when it happens...

Forgot to add the Fox didn't kill any of them. The large hens (like big Geese) attacked the fox so only lost feathers.

Sorry to report H but Chatsworth strictly forbids the launching of pink pigs from any part of its estate.   Besides the wind doesn't blow in the right direction but if you go further south east towards Leicester it's perfect pink pig launching countryside, hence East Mids airport is down that way.

Sorry about the fox encounter. We don't have any chickens... yet but if I did have some I'd be gutted and I'm anti fox hunting as well but we've had fox hounds in the yard today as there is a hunt somewhere near here, they use the fields at the top and knock the walls down. They jump the dry stone walls when the gate is open. How dumb is that?

poor foxy, leave him some food out it may detract him from eating them raw!  Large hens, do they peck like geese    as you may have read I have been pecked a few times!

hi debz-i like your dogs! I'm from Tamworth ,so not far away either . I have only been making soap for a few weeks but cant believe its so addictive(but so is this board to be honest)!
