The first is made by Salter and is a probe type thermometer, has a clip that attatches to the side of your pot and a bold and easily read dial display.
Been used a few times but still have original packaging.
Price £6 (incl postage)

Here's the second one is a West Meters Thermometer. Used once. Bought for £12.99.

Yes EJ, they are meant for jam, oil, toffee etc. But these are commonly used for CP soap too.

I found the first one with the probe easy to use as it props itself on the edge of your pot and the dial is very east to read being on the end. The second one would need to be dipped then removed to read the temp.
