I've been making M&P soap fro family & friend for a while & now my youngest has started school I decided starting my own small business would be a good idea.  My feelings on this change by the minute from great excitement, though confusion to sheer panic.  I've got my sfety assesments on place & have made contact with trading standards who want to meet me next week - Ekk...I've never done anything business like before(I was a childrens Nanny before my children came along)
I've been busy researching all the legal stuff on labels, distance selling regulations etc this week but I'm going to have a few hours trailing the boards on here to see if I can pick up a few tips.

I'll be annoying you soon with loads of questions so sorry in advance   Grin

A warm hello from me!!   Grin

Don't be fearful of TS, they are actually very useful contacts and most are very helpful and give good advice.  Honestly, the fact that you contact them puts you straight into their good books and they can answer many questions  Wink  butterflies

Pics will be up shortly - when I can find what I've done with the usb cable to get the photos off the camera.  I'm sure it'll turn up if I actually ever get around to tidying up.   Wink

I've no idea why I'm worried about trading standards - they're just people aren't they?Huh?  I suppose it's because as a consumer you only hear about trading standards when a business has done something wrong

Thanks to everyone for the welcome   butterflies
