Hello everyone,

I want to introduce myself and give you a short synopsis of my background which I hope will then enable you to help me.

I'm a married mum with a husband, 4 year old daughter and a cat.  I work as a PA part time over 5 days so spare time is at a premium.  Over the past few years through night school I have become a qualified holistic therapist in massage and aromatherapy. Unfortunately, as I'm the main breadwinner utilising my new qualifications is quite difficult as I can't leave my job and have very little spare time to do it on weekend or evenings.

When at Filey at the August Bank Holiday, I met a lovely lady who produces her own lotions, creams etc.  As we got talking I realised this may be a way to keep my hand in with my aromatherapy without doing massages. She gave me this website as an aid to help my on my journey.

So that's the idea.  I would like to give a go to making my own products but I have not a clue where to start.  I have no idea what equipment I'll need, what regulations are in place, what assessments I need to do, health and safety etc.  I am really starting at the beginning with a blank piece of paper.

I am very organised, hardworking and tenacious.  This is also something I really believe in.  I am hoping these qualities, plus any help and advice anyone can give me, will start me on this most rewarding career change.

Best wishes to all of you.

Hello Victoria, welcome to the forum.

There's lots of info on the forum and in Resources (where you may need to log in to see some of the aricles). Take a good look around and make some posts to bring your status up to Junior - then you will be able to see all the skincare boards.
