Hi, I'm Christina and I live in Devon with my husband and 53 shetland sheep! I am just starting out with CP soapmaking and Pam (Menolly) is my cousin and is down making soap with me this weekend!
I hope to learn a lot from you all and am looking forward to browsing the forums!

Hello Christina and the sheep, welcome to the forum.

I do like shetland wool - beautiful for spinning, knitting, crochet and felting (I'm sure it would be for weaving but I don't have a loom).

Have fun learning to make soap (and do consider HP!!)

Hi,and thanks for the lovely welcome! Yes, plenty of wine and silliness, Dizzybuff - and lots of soap-making (pix to follow when we've figured out how to post them!)
We have made:
Rose Geranium swirled with Ultramarine Pink; Lavender and Clary Sage, swirled with UM Pink and UM Blue to make a light purple shade; Honey & Oatmeal with Sweet Orange & Clary Sage; Oatmeal & Lemon Scrub (with Clary Sage  Grin) and then we made a soap with dripping (tallow) with sweet orange oil and calendula petals in a Pringles tin.

Will let you know how they turn out!

Off to Fibrefest tomorrow and then back for more soaping (and wine drinking but not at the same time)

Chrissie (and Pam)
