I would just like to say a big hello to everyone on the forum. I am a new member and this is my first post, I have recently taken up soaping as a hobby and am really getting hooked. I am wishing to learn from this site and forum as it seems very informative, and friendly. Whilst on this first thread, I would like to ask what % of my soap should be made up of coconut oil as i have recently made a batch with %30 and it was really drying on the skin. Thanks. FWESSH.

Hello, welcome aboard.

I use 25% Coconut Oil in my basic recipe.

It also depends on what your other oils/butters are.
